The Details
The beautiful Sol Pod tiny house was designed by Vina Lustado of Sol Haus Design. After designing her own tiny home and living in it for many years, she decided to create a separate office space, also on a trailer chassis. It is designed to be multi-functional, flexible and portable. By incorporating green technologies such as solar and SIPs wall panelings, this tiny house is a perfect candidate for off-grid applications.
This tiny house is ideal for anyone wanting a calm, inspiring, and beautiful work/meditation space. If you have a mobile business (e.g., beauty salon, art gallery, event hub, etc.), this could be the perfect tiny house plan for you. It could also make a stunning ADU in residential lot applications and/or a memorable overnight accommodation for the AirBnB crowd.
Notes From the Designer
Sol Haus Design is excited to announce our latest innovation: Sol Pod Mobile Studio which was featured on Dwell on Design in Los Angeles, CA. We use prefabricated modular SIP’s panels (structural insulated panels) and a rooftop photovoltaic system to make the space highly energy efficient and self reliant. The interior is bathed with natural light which makes the space perfect for a home office, studio space, or guest cottage.
There’s also plenty of storage on the raised platform floor for the “extras” that often come with office spaces. The Sol Pod tiny house design includes a kitchenette with refrigerator, induction stove, and sink. There is a loft which can be used for sleeping, lounging, or storage.
